TIP
Make sure you review all of your planning information, such as number of guests, number of male guests, number of female guests, number and ages of children, time of day (lunch vs. dinner), season and weather (outside and hot means a higher beverage consumption.)
TIP
You can cut back on consumption by: Passing hors d'oeuvres instead of placing them on a table, using napkins instead of plates, limiting receptions to no more than one and a half hours and having an attendant at the buffet table or setting the table against a wall rather than in the center of the room.
TIP
There is no exact formula to calculate accurate beverage consumption. As a rule, buying beverages by the gallon, bottle or canned beverages on consumption is more cost-effective .
