DESIGN THE PERFECT BIRTHDAY PARTY
Do you know someone who deserves the best birthday ever?
It's easy to create a happy and special birthday party where it's as much fun to be the guest as it is to be the guest of honor.

TRENDS

Birthday Parties have become the excuse for people to have family and friends unite, get re-acquainted and celebrate a person's life. Special milestone birthdays tend to have a certain significance for gathering at a party where all come together to experience shared laughter and memories. Once the "drinking age" birthday is past or the 1st quarter of a century (25 years), the next milestone is considered Over the Hill which occurs at 30 years of age. At 40 people are celebrating Life begins... At 50 it's the Half-century mark. Any Milestone birthday after that hasn't been designated as anything other than it's year...60th, 70th, 75th, 80th, etc.

It's nice for people to reflect upon a person's significance within their friends and family's life. It's nice for people to come together to share the fellowship that has been generated through a person's life. These are the times that make life rewarding. The trend is to acknowledge and celebrate life. The trend is to amuse the guests and create a festive interactive atmosphere where all ages participate. A successful party is one where the guests are entertained and leave the party with wonderful memories.

FREE PARTY IDEAS

The Work-a-holic Party can be tons of fun if you're up for some creative, interactive planning. Let the guests enter the "work place" and have them greeted by an obnoxious secretary who just has to finish putting on her nail polish as she cracks the gum in her mouth and chats with a close friend on a phone. The guests can enter the Office pool (no matter what the season a sport of some kind is being played.) Just create the "game pool sign up sheet" and have people enter their names in the squares of their choice. The winners can be announced after dinner. If you are looking for extravagance, you can bring in a carver to create an Ice-sculpture based upon the profession of the celebrant. Example: A veteranarian - a sculpture of a dog. During dinner, present a Day in the Life of the birthday person. A close relative or friend can act out or narrate the day. This is great for laughs.

Find a location near you that offers a Hay-ride. Invite the guests to dig out some bandana's, blue jeans, and flannel shirts and be ready for a good 'ole fashioned hay ride complete with hot dogs, roasted marshmellow's, a Campfire and some Sing-a-longs.

Has this birthday person's life been a Puzzle to you? Send out your invitations with a puzzle piece that is brought to the party to create a giant puzzle. OR Send out an inviation as puzzle pieces that must be assembled in order to get the party details. At the party, divide the guests into teams, play various Brain Games with scoring to determine the winning team. Have puzzle races. Serve food with riddles. Use the Guest of Honor Trivia game.
